How to use this electronic text
Icons and symbols in the text
Several nagivation aids are provided in the text. Pointing at the icons/symbols provides a short description. A more detailed description is provided below:
 | Link to a print file in PDF format.
The print files enable to print a quality hardcopy. The user should have the Acrobat Reader Plug-in to view and print the files.

 | Link to a spreadsheet in XLS format.
The spreadsheets are provided with the examples and a selected set of figures. The user should have a recent version of EXCEL or the EXCEL reader.

From Chapter 1 one
reaches the Title page followed by the Appendix and Chapters 7, 6, 5, 4, 3 and 2 before returning to Chapter 1.
When viewing the examples, problems, review questions, bibliography and equation sheet of a particular chapter, one obtains the same item of the previous chapter. |
